We are 2 people and a dog who love walking over hills, over fields, across the beach or dashing through woods. We do find however that most walking and hiking magazines and websites don't offer much 'dog friendly' information in their suggested walks and such like. So we built this site to offer something just for those of us who like to take their dog with them when out and about in this green and pleasant land.
So who are we?
I am a Yorkshire lad who studied music and University, has moved around the UK as a professional musician and/or web designer and has finally settled back up North in Huddersfield where I run my own web design business overthewall. I have always loved dogs and the outdoors... and what a pefect match they make. My favourite outdoor food is a HUGE cheese sandwhich and my farvourite place to walk is the Peak District because it's local!
I was born in Manchester, lived in Blackpool and grew up with 2 Jack Russells Carrie and Sue on the Wirral. I went to University in Coventry and like Michael ended up working in London until moving with Michael to Huddersfield. My favourite outdoor snack is definately a big bag of crisps and my favourite place to walk are vast tracts of ancient woodland.
I'm a greyhound, I was born in Ireland and spent my professional career chasing a fluffy toy rabbit around Walthamstow dog track. After retiring, Michael and Clare took me in and I now spend most of my days asleep on the sofa. But when it's time to go for a walk I can't wait to get out and run around... I guess I'm a dog who is always at one or other extremes of the energy scale. My favourite outdoor snack is a cold sausage and my favourite place to walk is also the woods... show me those squirrels!!
