Edinburgh is a fine city, a wonderful city. What a great place to live for a dog with all those spectacular walks and countryside all around your home town.
But there's more good news, for in the city itself is an extinct volcano towering over the city in Holyrood park and it offers just about the best walk you'll find withing any city's limits.
The parks itself has grass, a duck pond, just what you'd expect, but then put a pair of good shoes on and start to climb Arthur's Seat and you'll be rewarded with glorious views of the city.
It can be very steep in places, it can take you a little by surprise really. It gets pretty busy but it's well worth a visit and a climb up to the top.
Dogs can roam free and running up and down various stages of hill is sure to soon tire them out.

A real steep and rewarding climb in the middle of the city.
Many people end up parking at the road side but you can usally find a spot somewhere.
