He is 2 years old, well 2 last October.
We have had him since he was 6 months.
We already had Spyder and Fli, the lurcher and greyhound, with no intentions of taking on a third dog.
However, on my way to a meeting with my boss she asked if I knew of anybody who wanted a lurcher puppy, friends of friends of friends had one they now didn't want as he chewed things and needed more exercise than they had appreciated (what a surprise - not) they were also struggling to find him a kennels whilst they were away, due to foot and mouth.
Well a phone call to Tim and he agreed that we would look after him for 2 weeks and try to find him a home.
I went to see him 2 days later already in a kennels that they had managed to find.
At this time he was called Woody, the kennels said that they had been told to find him a home as the people didn't want him back.
I took him for a walk and thought we could manage him he was very bouncy and very scruffy and very loosely a lurcher.
A quick phone call by the kennels to his "owners" and he was on his way home with me.
He was introduced to Spyder and Fli and settled in amazingly quickly yes he chewed quite a few things but he won our hearts with his sruffy looks and kind nature and love of life.
We made some attempts to get him a home by asking around locally but he had become very much my dog and I wasn't prepared to give him up.
I changed his name to Jack took him to obedience classes which have worked to a degree, although he still woofs at other dogs he doesn't know when on his lead.
Fli mothers him and Spyder tolerates him although is always keen to see him when he gets home from any of our outings.
He has a great relationship with one of cats who he plays with and the other two know how to control him.
In short he is just adorable.
