Ebony has been the best present I've ever had - she was a surprise from my husband (who'd resisted having a dog for 7 years by this point). We turned up at the breeder's and have never looked back (OK, perhaps once or twice when she was trashing the house as a really young puppy!). Ebony is 6 years old now and has recently been diagnosed with epilepsy. However, she remains the apple of our eye and is my baby (and at least 10 times better than a human one). She loves nothing more than being with us, long walks, playing, retrieving anything and everything, especially socks and gloves (even from places they were not supposed to be retrieved from!), swimming ....... oh, and eating (well, she IS a labrador!). I really can't imagine what life was like pre-Ebony!
