Every year we take the gang away for a few days with their mates (16 dogs in total!!).
Usually to a dog friendly hotel in Southbourne.
I think that they would all agree that their favorite walk is around Hengisbury Head.
There are various Car Parks but you do have to pay but it is a reasonable price.
You set off from the car park across the heathland towards the sea and on to the beach.
It can be quite hard going if the tide is in as the beach is mainly shingle.
Continue all the way along the beach and around the head, until you come to the beach huts.
You then have a choice, you can wander back along the Road way between the headland and Christchurch Harbour, or climb up the steps on to the headland where there are great views and endless small tracks through the gorse.
Watch out for the Bunnies.
Walking along the road way is quite safe if your dog is under control.
The odd vehicle comes along slowly and you need to watch out for the train.
If you are really tired you can travel back on the train, dogs are allowed if it's not busy.
Which ever way you go you eventually arrive back at the main car park.
There is a very nice little Cafe at the car park.
They will supply water for thirsty dogs.
There are also toilets facilities.
The walk takes about 1 hour briskly or 1 hour and a half strolling and is well worth the effort.
