This is a basically a huge reservoir that you can either walk / cycle round. The only thing is that the last part of the walk is via the road and there is an uphill stretch - plus the total distance is about 10 miles!! The path is fairly straightforward, although there is one point where you have to dismount and walk through a grassy / heath area to get onto the road.
However, for the main part it is a nice broad track. From the car park, if you go through the big gate, and keep walking, after a few miles you come to a patch of grass which has a picnic bench on it. If it is not too windy you can look out at the boats on the reservoir and the people fishing.
But if you cycle, you can cycle from the car park around to the cafe and information centre. This takes you over the dam, which is amazing as you have a great expanse of water on your right and a green valley on your left.
The cafe serves some nice sandwiches, packed that day and you can get hot food there as well if you prefer. There are a couple of benches outside if you want to eat your sandwiches there.

Huge reservoir walk.
You can park in the car park at the information centre, although you do pay. It is a little further down the road but it is easy to get to if you prefer to park there, and from what I remember it is signposted with a brown sign as well).
Note - as it is a big stretch of water, you do get midges there in the warm weather. Take your insect repellent!
