Susie...

Carrie and Sue Susie was a rescue dog from the RSPCA and we got her from there when she was about 2 years old, as company for our other JR, Carrie.

We thought she would be reasonably well behaved, not being a puppy anymore, but I'll always remember my Mum preparing a load of food on the dining table and walking in there to find Susie on that table soon after eating most of it.

Susie spent many happy days playing with her pal Carrie (who sadly died 2 years ago, also aged 17), especially chasing after the squirrels at their favourite spot in Eastham Woods.

As they were only little, another favourite pastime was sunning themselves on the window ledge at home.

Susie was never really right after Carrie died and her health deteriorated alot in the last couple of years, but she always wiggled her tail (well, her stump as my Dad would say as she had been docked before we rescued her) and seemed pleased to see people.

We miss you Susie Sunbeam.
