We're at Ogden Water again but this time we're going to be a little more adventurous. You'll need your boots on for this one but it's well worth it...
Again, from the staggered free car park follow the woodland or reservoir walk to the eastern edge of the reservoir.
Now the fun begins. Take the path marked "Waterfall" and "Ogden Clough" and follow the rocky, streamside path. You'll have to cross over a bridge or 2 but eventually you'll get a small but beautiful waterfall.
Keep following the path up and up and you're treated to a great moorland walk across Ovenden Moor coming eerily close to the wind farm. Do spend some time taking in the glorious views. It's also worth mentioning at this point to keep an eye out for livestock as they do roam free around these moors.
If you keep going further along the path eventually you'll head back down towards the reservoir and pick up the tail end of the reservoir walk and meander back to the car park via the dam.
If you are going to do this worthwhile work it's definately worth printing out the excellent Walking Pack provided by Yorkshire Water.
See Walk 1 for details of the reservoir and woodland walks.

A wonderful reservoir and woodland walk with some spectacular views.
Free car parking. There's a small visitors centre (with a donations box outsite), picnic areas and public loos strangely piping in Classic FM. There's also a pub and restaurant at the end of the road.
You may encounter the odd stile but they're all dog friendly.
You can get a great PDF map courtesy of Yorkshire Water here.
