Ostlers Plantation is a superb place to walk dogs. I take 9 with me when I go (they are all very obedient and well behaved.) There are acres and acres of forest and fields. You must park in the place reserved for cars as vehicles are not allowed on the plantation which makes it safe for yourself and the dogs. There is no charge for parking. There are many Forestry Commission Plantations and Reserves all over the UK and they are all excellent for dog walking. But please, if you use them, take poo bags with you and clean up after your dogs and if there isn't a bin nearby, take it home with you. The Forestry Commission is generous in letting us take our dogs there, let's not spoil it.
