Pickerings Pasture is a 4 acre nature reserve of wildflower filled meadows and young woodland overlooking the River Mersey.
You can either explore the meadows or follow the surfaced footpaths along the river side offering wonderful views of Runcorn Bridge and the estuary.
If you're feeling more adventurous you can even join the Mersey Way or the Trans Pennine trail. There's also a path link to Spike Island Park.
There's a visitors centre, a number of picnic spots and oodles of ornithological treats complete with bird hide.
Dog bins are provided and there's lots of room to let your dog off it's lead to get some exercise.
