Stick-To-Toys Stick-to-Toys.comis a campaign website by Sharon Webley, a campaign asking people to stop throwing sticks for their dogs. A dog very close to Sharon was killed after swallowing a stick and this tragegy spawned Sharon's campaign.
The site has lots of quite graphic stories of horrific accidents dogs have had while chasing sticks and urges people who've had similar indidents to send in their stories too.
There's also a great deal of information on how you can help the campaign.
But it's not all doom and gloom for the dog as there are plenty of ideas of alternative toys for dogs to play with when they're out and about.
Perhaps the best (and easiest to throw) is a ball on a rope (see photograph). You can even get ones that float now for those crazy dogs that like to swim after their toys.
