Swinley Forest, The Lookout Heritage Centre,
Nine Mile Ride, Bracknell, Berkshire

Miles and miles of hard core paths. Dogs can run free, but must be under control, as families, Joggers, and cyclists also roam around this Crown Land Forest. Keep clear of any working logging machines, and also watch out for Husky dog running events and training. If there are any signs of the Huskies, it is necessary to have your dogs on the lead until they have passed you. The Lookout does not allow dogs in the buildings nor in the picnic areas. Parking at present is free, but can be full up on certain days just due to numbers visiting. Do not be put off by the number of cars etc as Swinley Forest is so large that there is room for all. T he entry also has listed times for entry, normally you can still get out of the car park after these times. There are maps of the forest on display at the car park, and on sale in the Lookout, it is advisable to have one with you in case you get lost, but ask anyone the direction back to the Lookout and they will help you. The Lookout has a snack bar.
